SCCCA English is conducting the 2011 survey of open ministry positions in Sydney Chinese churches - starting today. Church leaders have the opportunity to fill out a web form about the details of the ministry position.We will be visiting some Bible colleges to talk to students about Chinese church ministry in August and September, and this will help us talk to students about specific ministry opportunities.

SCCCA is holding the annual pastors-theologs' dinner again - a unique and exciting opportunity to meet people, network, and perhaps even discuss ministry possibilities for the future! And this year we have invited students from Moore, Morling, SMBC, PTC, Emmaus, the Youthworks Training College, and even CTCA.
The dinner will be held on Monday 25th July at West Sydney Chinese Christian Church, 90 Homebush Road, Strathfield. RSVP to Andrew Hong at ministry@andrewhong.net by 20 July for catering purposes.

The CORE is on for 2011 and is training designed to put in to your leaders and keep them refreshed and enthused during the ministry year!
And this year we are exploring the ministry mindshifts of The Vine and The Trellis by Col Marshall across our four dates.

Every semester we send a small team of pastors to Moore and SMBC to talk up Chinese church ministry and share about their experiences.
We also hold a dinner each year for theological students and church leaders to get to know each other, network, and explore ministry possibilities for the future. More details about that soon!

Are you a theological student? Come to the annual theologs' pastors dinner. Meet pastors, elders, deacons from Chinese churches and learn about the needs and opportunities out there for reaching the Chinese in our city!
It will be held on Tuesday 5th October at West Sydney Chinese Christian Church in Strathfield.

The annual dinner for pastors, theological students and final year ministry apprentices to come together and talk shop is on 27 July 2009 at West Sydney Chinese Christian Church, in Strathfield.This is a unique event for pastors / deacons to come and meet up-and-coming students for yourself, and for theologs to see the great needs out there among Chinese churches.
If you're a theological student open to working in a Chinese church, or if you're a pastor / deacon looking for an English pastor or student minister, we'd love for you to come!
Theological students and apprentices should RSVP to Andrew Hong at andrew.hong@ndcccs.org.au, and pastors / deacons should RSVP to Brian Tung at brian.tung@hope.anglican.asn.au. RSVPs now closed. The dinner is free for theologs, and $10 for pastors / deacons.

The SCCCA leadership retreat is back on again this year, complete with a new name: the SALT Retreat - Sydney Asian Leadership Training Retreat!
It's on the weekend of Friday September 11 to Sunday September 13, at Mountain Camp in Katoomba. Lock in the dates!
This year's theme is On Solid Ground -we'll be looking at the foundations for not only ministry, but our churches and our own Christian lives. If you found it great last year ... come, and invite your friends along! Registration is now closed!

A rare event for pastors/leaders of Chinese churches to come together and meet Bible college students ('theologs') who may be open to serving in a Chinese church. 2. SCCCA Leader's retreat - 11-13 September 2009, Mountain Camp (Katoomba)
We started off with a bang last year - ask those who went! And this year we're looking forward to sustaining and pushing on leaders even more at our Sydney leader's retreat. 3. Challenge night - 10th October 2009, Trinity Grammar School (Summer Hill)

4. Regional training nights - various locations
SCCCA English also holds high-value regular training for leaders in several locations. This year in the North-West (monthly) and the South-West (fortnightly) of Sydney. See the Regional training page for further details.
